Purpose: CABA’s mission is to consider and make recommendations to the City Manager on issues of accessibility for persons with disabilities within the City of Cincinnati with the goal of making Cincinnati more inclusive and accessible.

Number of Appointments: Maximum of 11 members

Term Length: Two-Year Terms

Speccial Requirements: The members of CABA shall satisfy the following specifications: a) Members who have a disability must make up a majority of the Board. b) One person must be a wheelchair user or a person with an orthopedic disability and have personal knowledge and experience in dealing with disability issues in the public arena. c) One person must be legally blind and have personal knowledge and experience in dealing with disability issues in the public arena. d) One person must either be legally deaf or hearing impaired, and have personal knowledge and experience in dealing with disability issues in the public arena. e) At least one member, with or without a disability, must by profession have expertise on accessibility to and within public facilities by disabled persons. f) One member must have experience with issues faced by first responders such as the Fire or Police Department, who frequently interact with persons with disabilities in the line of duty.
