Purpose: The Cincinnati Board of Building Appeals, in lieu of action by the State Board of Appeals or the court system, locally expedites appeals taken from decisions of the Director of Buildings and Inspections regarding interpretation or application of the provisions of Cincinnati-Ohio Basic Building Code and other related standards, ordinances, etc., referenced therein. In doing so, the Board of Building Appeals renders timely decisions that provide relief essential to the successful completion of projects that otherwise could not comply with code.
