Purpose: Review, advise and make recommendations to the City Manager, Director of Buildings and Inspections and the Manager of the Business Development and Permit Center regarding the following: 1. Land development/building regulatory programs and processes for efficiency and effectiveness, in order to reduce redundancy and enhance coordination 2. Zoning, Plan Examination, Permitting and Commercial Inspection operations within the B&I Department, 3. The Department of B&I's Policy Directives Manual for the Building and Zoning Codes, 4. Performance of the Department and the BDPC in meeting the needs of the public and customers, 5. Provide private-sector review and advice on the implementation of the recommendations made by the Mayor's Economic Development Task Force and the City's Internal Permit Review Team, 6. Review of procedures and management methods within Department so as to ensure a high degree of professionalism and efficiency 7. B&I and the BDPC's relationship with City depts. and outside organizations and customers.
