Are you ready to go 'GREEN'?

The Department of Economic Inclusion (DEI) is working to increase the number of small and diverse businesses working toward “going green” and striving to reach designation as an “Advanced Sustainability” company.  To help those companies achieve that mark, DEI is co-sponsoring a series of Webinars and classes geared toward sustainable development.

The webinar and classes begin Sept. 17 and will feature guest panelists from a variety of industries. Each session is specifically designed to allow participants to interact, converse and learn from industry experts.

The areas covered will include:

  • Inclusion As A Business Growth Driver In The 21st Century
  • Increase Your Chances of Winning Construction Contracts
  • Breaking Into The Corporate Supply Chain
  • Rethinking Strategic Alliances With A Green Focus
  • Leveraging Sustainability for Inclusion In Service Industries
  • Developing A Brand Identity For A Home Based Business

Additional information on specific webinars is available on the SBE Green Business Education website.

Companies that complete the course and pass a final exam will receive a “SEMS” certification acknowledging that a transition to sustainable operations is actually taking place –inside-out.

The classes will run from September through January on a monthly basis.  For more information contact DEI at (513) 352-3144.
