Answer: 45-90 days from preliminary application (PA) submittal to plan approval but depends on the responsiveness of the engineering firm doing the plans. Our goal is to review all submittals within 10 days of receipt. Answer: No. Once the water main is accepted by GCWW, new users may be added at the discretion of GCWW.
Answer: Plan review fees for private development/subdivision plans are currently $48/hour of review time. Most reviews range between 2-6 hours of billable time. Answer: Preliminary application often called a PA is a set of individualized directives signed by our chief engineer and director that explain how a project should proceed and any restrictions or special conditions placed on a specific project. A preliminary application is required for any project that may need to change the length of our distribution system. Please click here to download a copy of our PA.

Answer: Current OEPA review fees are $185. Checks must be made out to “Treasurer of the state of Ohio” and turned in with all other OEPA project documentation. GCWW is self-certified with the OEPA. The OEPA allows GCWW to pay a flat plan review rate no matter the size of the project.
Answer:
- Submit a preliminary application with a concept plan.
- Once preliminary application is approved send 2 paper sets of water main construction drawings to start the review process.
- Once plans are reviewed and approvable, submit mylars
- Mylars are signed
