Answer: 45-90 days from PA submittal to plan approval but depends on the responsiveness of the engineering firm doing the plans. Our goal is to review all submittals within 10 days of receipt. Please contact our development section at 513-591-6567 or email development@gcww.cincinnati-oh.gov with any questions related to plan review times
Answer: No. Once the water main is accepted by GCWW, new users may be added at the discretion of GCWW.
Answer: A preliminary application, often called a PA, is a set of individualized directives signed by our chief engineer and director that explain how a project should proceed and any restrictions or special conditions placed on a specific project. A preliminary application is required for any project that may need to change the length of our distribution system.
- You can find preliminary application forms on our Forms and Specifications page.
Please contact our development section at 513-591-6567 or email development@gcww.cincinnati-oh.gov with any questions related to preliminary applications.
Answer: Current OEPA review fees are $185. Checks must be made out to “Treasurer of the state of Ohio” and turned in with all other OEPA project documentation. GCWW is self-certified with the OEPA. The OEPA allows submittals inside our jurisdiction to pay a flat rate regardless of project size, scope and cost.
Answer: Hire a civil engineer and instruct them to submit a preliminary application (which can be found on our Forms and Specifications page) with a concept plan. Once the preliminary application is approved, send 2 paper sets of water main construction drawings to start the review process. Once plans are reviewed and approvable, submit mylars. Mylars are signed. Please contact our development section at 513-591-6567 or email development@gcww.cincinnati-oh.gov with any questions related to extending a public water main.
