Public Hearing: Budget & Finance Committee

The Budget and Finance Committee will have a Public Hearing on Monday, Jan. 6, 2014 at 1 p.m., at City Hall, 801 Plum Street, Council Chambers, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202, to discuss the Tentative Tax Budget for the year 2014.

By state law (Section 5705.28 and 5705.30, Revised Code of Ohio), the City of Cincinnati is required to submit on or before January 20 each year an estimate of contemplated revenue and expenditures for the ensuing fiscal year to the Hamilton County Budget Commission. The Budget Commission ascertains that the property tax levy is properly authorized and that the levy is required by the budget.

Copies of the estimated budget will be available for public inspection Dec. 27, 2013, in the offices of the Director of Finance and Clerk of Council.
