Mar 27, 2024
Greater Cincinnati Water Works (GCWW) recently published its annual Water Quality Report, also known as the Consumer Confidence Report. The report shares water-testing data that shows GCWW drinking water complies with all regulations and continues to meet or exceed compliance with all federal and state drinking water standards.
The report provides data to water utility customers regarding compliance with U.S. EPA and Ohio EPA drinking water standards and general drinking water quality.
"The report is the culmination of treatment and monitoring processes for the last calendar year,” said Jeff Swertfeger, Superintendent of the Water Quality & Treatment Division. “We are proud to share this information and that GCWW continues to provide high-quality drinking water to more than 1.1 million people in our service area.”
The report also provides information about the water treatment process, local drinking water sources, and source water protection. More than 100 regulated substances require monitoring or specific treatment, including various chemicals, microbiological agents, metals, and minerals. GCWW uses the most advanced treatment technologies to provide customers with clean, high-quality water.
