Streetcar grand opening weekend activities being planned

CINCINNATI – The Cincinnati Streetcar is scheduled to begin operations on Friday, Sept. 9, assuming all necessary safety and security certifications are received this summer.

A dedication ceremony will be held before the streetcar is open to the public.

A streetcar grand opening weekend is being planned with activities along the route, including The Banks, downtown and Over the Rhine.  More information will follow on weekend events.

About The Cincinnati Streetcar

Scheduled to open in September 2016, the Cincinnati Streetcar is intended to expand transportation options, stimulate development, and enhance livability by connecting downtown, the riverfront and Over the Rhine.  The Cincinnati Streetcar is owned and funded by the City of Cincinnati, managed by the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority, and operated by Transdev.
