Streetcar Title VI Hearing Public Notice

Oct 21, 2020

CINCINNATI - The Cincinnati Bell Connector streetcar will operate as a fare-free transit service starting November 1, 2020. Individuals seeking to comment on the fare change can do so during the public comment session of Major Projects and Smart Government Council Committee, Tuesday, October 27, 2020, at 1pm.

Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 U.S.C. 2000d et seq. ("Title VI") is applicable to projects that receive federal financial assistance, such as the Cincinnati Bell Connector. The streetcar’s Title VI compliance plan requires a public comment session for any change in fare, including the recently proposed change to eliminate a fare. Therefore, a public comment session will take place on this topic during the meeting of the Major Projects and Smart Government Committee on Tuesday, October 27, 2020. The meeting will take place at 1 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall (801 Plum Street) in Downtown Cincinnati.  Those who wish to speak will need to complete a public comment card prior to the start of the meeting or visit the following website to provide feedback: cincinnati-oh.gov/streetcar/contact-us

Anyone in need of assistance to participate in this meeting due to a disability should contact the City’s ADA Compliance Office https://www.cincinnati-oh.gov/manager/aging-and-accessibility/ada/ at least five (5) business days prior to the scheduled meeting to request an accommodation.
