Be Streetcar Safe


The streetcar shares city streets with all kinds of other vehicles and activities - from cars and buses, bicycles and pedestrians, even construction crews working in the right-of-way.  

Whether you're riding a bike near the streetcar or working near the overhead wires, here are a few tips for how you can Be Streetcar Safe:

  • Look and listen... don't cross in front of a moving streetcar
  • Step over tracks; walk your bike or cross at a right angle
  • Don't walk, run or play along the streetcar tracks
  • Stay clear of the poles, overhead high-voltage electric wires, and power stations
  • Park within white painted lines along track area and look before opening your door
