The Simple Recycling orange bag textile and housewares curbside collection program will officially end December 16, 2019.  Beginning on Monday December 9, participants will no longer receive replacement bags.

The program is ending because there was not the volume of material expected, and Simple Recycling cannot justify the gas and labor expended driving up and down every street.  Moving forward, residents are still encouraged to divert textiles from the landfill and donate usable clothing and housewares to nonprofits.

Donation Pick up service options*

1) Donatestuff.com offers weekly porch pick up service on Fridays by appointment

2) St Vincent DePaul offers limited select pick up and drop offs

3) Goodwill offers limited pick up and drop offs

4) Salvation Army offers select pick up and drop offs

*Contact outlet prior to dropping off to confirm acceptance. Some organizations do not pick up small loads, please contact the organization for pick up guidelines

Goodwill

All area Goodwill locations accept laundered clothing, linens, and towels (resalable or damaged); crutches, wheelchairs, other useable items for resale and reuse; also accepts electronics in good working order less than 3 years old. Flat screen TV's in good working order are accepted. No CRT or projection TV's.

St. Vincent de Paul

Accepts used clean mattresses and bedding providing these items meet Ohio state regulations of not being ripped, torn, or stained or in need of any repairs; and must free of bed bugs. Will pick up at no charge. Accepts clean, usable furniture; clothing, usable electronics less than 10 years old (with all the cables & cords included) and has a vehicle donation program. Also provides a pick-up service. Also accepts working cable ready TVs no more than 10 years old (flat screen only; no CRT or projection).
