Sizes

The City offers several different recycling cart sizes to choose from.

• Households of 3 or more people: We recommend the 96-gallon cart (46" tall, 26" wide, 34.5" deep)
• Households of 1 to 2 people: We recommend the 64-gallon cart (41.5" tall, 24" wide, 27" deep)
• Households that have stair-only access, space problems and the elderly: We recommend a 35-gallon cart (37.5" tall, 19" wide, 23.75" deep)

If you would like to exchange your current container for a different cart size or if you do not currently have a recycling container, please visit 5916000.com or use the 311Cincy! mobile app. At the top of the page, select “Request Service”. Under “Step 1”, enter your street address and press the search button (magnifying glass). Once your address comes up, hit “Next”. Select “Trash, Recycling & Yard Waste” and “Recycling, new/swap/missing cart” and then select the cart size you would like. Alternately, you may call 513-352-3200 to order the cart.

 

Additional Carts

Additional carts are available at no charge. Please visit 5916000.com or use the 311Cincy! mobile app. At the top of the page, select “Request Service”. Under “Step 1”, enter your street address and press the search button (magnifying glass). Once your address comes up, hit “Next”. Select “Trash, Recycling & Yard Waste” and “Recycling, new/swap/missing cart” and select the size you would like. Alternately, you may call 513-352-3200.

Collection

Your recycling will be collected every other week, on the same day of the week as your trash collection (There are some exceptions to this for some commercial properties or CMHA housing locations. Please call 352-3200 if you need clarification). Rumpke Recycling will collect the materials from your cart between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Please note that in some neighborhoods, Rumpke Recycling may service customers on one side of the street several hours before servicing customers on the opposite side. Please wait until the end of the day to report a missed pick up, but do not wait any longer than 24- 48 hours.

Set-out Time

Recycling carts should be placed at the curb no later than 6 a.m. on collection day but no earlier than 5 p.m. the previous day. Please avoid placing the carts around any obstructions, mailboxes, low-hanging wires etc., and avoid parking in front of the cart on collection day. Carts must be removed from the curb by midnight on the day of collection.
