Volunteer Opportunities

The Cincinnati Recreation Commission is proud of its history with volunteers. More than 35,000 volunteer hours are logged each year to help the organization improve its programs and facilities.

Whether you are seeking an individual or group opportunity, you will find it with CRC.

CRC Volunteer Form

Young Professionals Group

Composed of a multi-disciplinary team of creative and community-minded young professionals, the CRC Young Professionals Group (also known as the REC-ing Crew) strives to strengthen CRC and benefits the Cincinnati community.

Through fundraising efforts, social events and community outreach these professionals put their heads together for CRC -- one of Cincinnati’s greatest assets.

Recreation Centers & Senior Centers

The CRC operates many recreation centers and senior centers throughout Cincinnati. Each of the centers uses volunteers in a variety of different ways. Please contact any of our centers and ask about volunteer opportunities.

Teens

Do you know a youth interested in being part of CRC? Are you a teen looking for ways to be active? Join CRC and make sure teen opinions are heard. Regular teen staff meetings and leadership board meetings are held at CRC centers. Call 513-281-3209 for more information.

Special Events

The Cincinnati Recreation Commission also hosts a series of large events throughout the year that require volunteers for the day. Individuals and groups are needed.

Southwest Ohio Senior Olympics (April-May)

Seniors 50 and over compete in a variety of athletic events. Volunteers are used as timers, score keepers and hospitality. To volunteer contact Dina Hanks at seniorolympics@cincinnati-oh.gov.

Sayler Park 5K Run (July)

This USATF certified course starts at the Sayler Park Recreation Center and travels through the beautifully tree lined streets in the residential area of Sayler Park. Volunteers are needed to help distribute water and man street closures. Contact 513-941-0102 to volunteer.
