Congratulations Clifton Recreation Center

Jan 28, 2015

The Clifton neighborhood has received quite a gem! The grand re-opening of the newly renovated Clifton Recreation Center was held earlier this week. Neighborhood residents joined Vice Mayor David Mann, City Manager Harry Black and other city dignitaries to officially open the facility.

The center boasts new programming – an open-mic-style, on-stage night, Yoga and Zumba.

Check out all of the programming and activities at Clifton Center.

Clifton Center’s $1.8 million facelift includes a two-story addition, which adds 1000 square feet, on the parking lot side of the building. The addition is the new entry which faces the parking lot. The addition also has a new front desk and an elevator.

Updates have touched all areas. The new elevator and renovated restrooms on both levels of the building ensure that all public spaces are now fully accessible and meet ADA standards.

In addition, all utilities (HVAC, plumbing, electric) were renovated or replaced, a new fire sprinkler system was installed and a new audio/visual system was installed in the meeting room.

The Clifton Center will be open Monday – Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Friday 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. It is located at 320 McAlpin Avenue, 45220.
