Proposed Use of TIF Funds for Public Infrastructure Improvements at 47 William Howard Taft Rd in Corryville

Background

The Corryville Community Development Corporation (CCDC) is seeking $1.12 million in Tax Increment Financing (TIF) funds for public infrastructure improvements to leverage private investment in the new mixed-use project development at 47 William Howard Taft Road. The mixed-use development project includes the new construction of 55 new residential units and 3,000 square feet of commercial space. CCDC will utilize the public funds for improvements connected to the site, including upgraded sidewalks, enhanced crosswalks, improved lighting, bump-outs, and undergrounding utility poles. The project will benefit University of Cincinnati (UC) students, faculty, and staff and contribute to the beautification of the Corryville neighborhood. The funds will come from the Corryville TIF District #9. All City funds will be used for the construction and soft cost of this project as the new mixed-use development is fully funded by a private developer.
