Proposed Use of TIF Funds for 1422-1450 Walnut St in Over-the-Rhine

 

Background

Urban Sites is seeking $2.9 million in Tax Increment Financing (TIF) funds to support the redevelopment of 1422-1450 Walnut Street. The site is currently made up of both vacant buildings and land. With over two decades of experience in the area, Urban Sites is proposing a mixed-use development called "The Lockhart," featuring 116 residential units and 2 commercial spaces. This project aims to contribute to the ongoing revitalization of Walnut Street. The entire project is estimated to cost $33.4 million and will create 275 temporary construction jobs. Urban Sites met with the Over-the-Rhine Community Council on October 14th and plans to attend the Council's monthly meeting on October 28th.
