Resilience Hubs
Resilience Hubs can operate under three different modes:
- Everyday Mode
- This is the Resilience Hub's most common mode of operation. The Hub is offering day-to-day services.
- Disruption Mode
- If there is a community-wide disaster, like a flood or power outage, the Resilience Hub switches to Disruption Mode. The Hub can coordinate a response to the disaster and help residents through the hardship with services and programming aimed at emergency response.
- Recovery Mode
- After a disaster ends, the Resilience Hub gradually shifts from Disruption Mode to Everyday Mode. Emergency services stop, Everyday services phase in, and some long-term recovery services are offered.
The Office of Environment & Sustainability is supporting Avondale in their efforts to establish a Resilience Hub. For more information about the project, visit the Avondale Resilience Hub page below.
