May 29, 2024
CINCINNATI– Cincinnati is excited to join Bloomberg Philanthropies’ new initiative, the Youth Climate Action Fund, which will provide technical assistance and funding for 100 mayors to activate tens of thousands of young people ages of 15 – 24 years to design, produce, and govern urgent climate solutions in cities across the globe. Cincinnati joins the Fund alongside other cities from around the world, which together spans 38 countries across six continents, representing over 62 million residents.
As part of this program, Cincinnati will receive $50,000 to distribute as microgrants through the Seeds of Change Youth Climate Action Grant Program to fund a groundswell of youth-led climate initiatives. Youth-led and youth-serving organizations can apply for $1,000-$5,000 to fund new, actionable, sustainability projects relating to the Green Cincinnati Plan. From planting trees and painting murals, to leading research and education campaigns, a wide range of projects are eligible for funding.
Visit the landing page to learn more about how to apply. There will be a virtual info session 6/13/24 from 5:30-7PM. Applications are due 7/15/24.
