CINCINNATI -- As many of you know, electrifying buildings and vehicles are the two largest carbon reduction strategies we have available to meet our Green Cincinnati Plan goal of carbon neutrality by 2050. With a goal of electrifying 20,000 homes by 2028 in the new Green Cincinnati Plan, OES and partners have launched Electrify Cincy - an educational effort that lays the foundation for Cincinnatians to accelerate the electrification of our homes and businesses. The program is designed to support residents to make informed upgrade decisions and to more easily access contractors with the needed experience. 

The first public-facing offering we are excited to announce is our first cohort of Electrify Cincy Designated Contractor Network members! The seven contractors linked here are City-certified contractors, who completed a full, two-day heat pump training, and are eager to make quality heat pump installations. If you'd like to explore a heat pump (and more) to electrify your building's heating and cooling, these are ideal local businesses to turn to for quotes! 

OES and partners will be building out the DCN to include more trades in coming months. And you can look forward to many more updates regarding Electrify Cincy’s various efforts!
