On Saturday, July 29th the last piece of the Beekman Silos in South Cumminsville was imploded. The concrete grain silos located at approximately 3140 Beekman Avenue, between Beekman Avenue and the Mill Creek, had been in poor condition for many years. In 2009 they were partially demolished, but demolition of the full structure was too costly to complete. 

In 2022, the Port was awarded funds from Ohio Department of Development Demolition and Revitalization Program to demolish the silos.
