City employees share public service experience with their families

CINCINNATI – Employees across departments celebrated National Take Our Kids to Work Day by showcasing their love of service to the Cincinnati community. The City hosted several centralized activities for this year’s event to give children of our employees the opportunity to learn about the work performed in our departments and foster an early connection to local government. 

The day's activities included:

• Equipment demonstrations and conversations with police officers and firefighters

• Parks and Recreation activities and nature encounters

• Metropolitan Sewer District truck, lab, and treatment process demonstrations

• Greater Cincinnati Water Works museum, treatment process, and Old River Station historical tours
