Wage Enforcement & Living Wage Complaints

The Department of Economic Inclusion monitors City of Cincinnati funded construction and service contracts to ensure that contractors comply with applicable local, state and federal prevailing wage laws, the City’s Living Wage Ordinance and the City’s Wage Enforcement Ordinance.

City-Assisted Construction Projects - If you are a construction worker on a construction project that is funded by the City or received City assistance in excess of $25,000, the project is covered under the City's Wage Enforcement Ordinance. For more information on the City's Wage Enforcement Ordinance, click here. If your employer has committed Wage Theft or Payroll Fraud against you related to your work on a Wage Enforcement covered project, you are entitled to submit a Wage Enforcement Complaint.

City-Funded Service Contracts - If you are performing work on a City funded service contract in excess of $20,000, the contract is covered under the City's Living Wage Ordinance. If your employer has committed a violation of the City's Living Wage Ordinance, you are entitled to submit a Living Wage Complaint
