Each year, Green Umbrella, Greater Cincinnati’s regional sustainability alliance, partners with the City of Cincinnati, the Brueggeman Center for Dialogue at Xavier University, Hamilton County Planning and Development, and the Greater Cincinnati Green Business Council, to present the Midwest Regional Sustainability Summit. This multi-day virtual event brings together businesses, government representatives, experts, non-profits, and ordinary citizens committed to building a more environmentally sustainable and economically vibrant region.

This year’s Summit, Titled Accelerating Action: The Path to 2030! will take place May 12-14, 2021. The keynote speaker will be Joan Fitzgerald, a Professor of Urban and Public Policy at Northeastern University.

The Summit will also, again, present IMPACT Awards recognizing individuals, organizations or businesses that demonstrate significant and measurable sustainability impact through an education program, campaign, sustainability plan, or strategy that increases natural resource conservation with/for diverse audiences within its facilities operations, organizational structure, and/or community.
