GCWW Economic Hardship Water Debt Forgiveness Program

Cincinnati Mayor John Cranley, City Manager Paula Boggs Muething, and Greater Cincinnati Water Works (GCWW) Executive Director Cathy Bernardino Baily proudly announce the GCWW Economic Hardship Water Debt Forgiveness Program. The Forgiveness Program has already helped hundreds of customers avoid water shutoffs at their home, and applications are still being accepted! 

Customers must demonstrate they are experiencing economic hardship due to COVID-19 or be at or below specified income levels. GCWW will forgive past-due amounts related to water and City of Cincinnati stormwater services accrued during the pandemic, from March 1, 2020, through September 30, 2020.
