Dr. Grant Mussman


After a nationwide search, the Board of Health of the City of Cincinnati voted on January 24, 2023, to appoint Dr. Grant Mussman as the City’s new Health Commissioner.
Dr. Mussman has been an essential part of the Cincinnati Health Department since 2018. He initially practiced at the Braxton
grant.mussman@cincinnati-oh.gov
Cann Medical Center and the Price Hill Health Center. He began serving as the Associate Medical Director for School Health and School-Based Health Centers in March 2019.  In December 2020, he was promoted to Medical Director.
During his time as the Interim Health Commissioner, Dr. Mussman has demonstrated the ability to be a strategic executive leader who strives to improve healthcare delivery and public health services for the citizens of Cincinnati.

He brings a wealth of experience to the table, and under his leadership this organization will continue to move forward in the right direction.”
Background
Dr. Mussman holds a Bachelor of Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology, a Master of Health Services Administration from Xavier University, and Doctor of Medicine from the University of Virginia School of Medicine.
