Incident Description:
CFD units were dispatched due to a call to 911 that the building at this address was on fire. The
residents had safely self-evacuated prior to CFD arrival. Once on scene, Engine 17 reported a working
fire on the 2nd floor of a 2-A multi-family wood frame residential structure. A rapid offensive fire attack
was initiated with a 1-3/4" handline and the fire was knocked down within 10 minutes of entry into the
building. Primary searches were conducted on all floors and were found to be all clear. PPV was used
to remove the smoke and products of combustion from the building. There were no civilian nor
firefighter injuries at this scene. Working smoke detectors were not found on the scene. The Red Cross
was notified to assist 2 adults and 4 children with shelter. The Cincinnati Fire Investigation unit were
called to the scene to investigate the cause of the fire. Any further questions can be forwarded to the
