Each Fire Recruit is assigned to the Cincinnati Fire Training Bureau for training as a Firefighter which will include Firefighter I & II, Fire Safety Inspector and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification training .  Each recruit must successfully complete all phases of the training necessary to qualify as a Firefighter. Once qualified and classified to the position of Firefighter, they will be assigned to a fire company and will respond to all emergency calls, assist in the saving of lives and property and in the extinguishment of fires.
