The Cincinnati Fire Department has partnered with the American Red Cross Association to offer FREE smoke detectors and installation for residents within the City of Cincinnati.

To request your FREE smoke detectors, please visit the 311 website and start a new request. Requests are filled on a rolling basis as detectors are available. The Cincinnati Fire Prevention and Community Risk Reduction Bureau will communicate with you regarding the current waitlist. Residents interested in free smoke detectors outside the City of Cincinnati should contact the American Red Cross Association at 1-844-207-4509. 

Guidance on smoke and carbon monoxide alarms installation. The infographic reminds readers to install alarms on every floor of a residence, especially near sleeping areas, and to test the alarms monthly. Follow manufacturers guidelines for use, if needed.
