IT Governance

IT Governance encompasses the decision authority, structure, processes, and policies that ensures the effective and efficient use of technology and related resources.

The City of Cincinnati’s Executive I.T. Leadership Committee (EITL) provides governance and oversight for all city I.T. activities. This diverse committee legislates policies related to technology usage throughout the city, reviews and evaluates I.T. capital requests, and citywide I.T. expenditures.

The mission of IT Governance and the EITL is to enable the organization to better achieve its IT goals aligned with the administration’s vision. This includes the value, alignment, effectiveness, security, cost, and support of technology solutions.
