ECC Public Record Requests

Please see below for the various ways you may obtain public records related to the Emergency Communications Center.

For 911 / Police Dispatch Incident Records:

For records related to a public safety incident, including telephone call recordings, radio recordings, and computer-aided dispatch (CAD) incident reports:

The Cincinnati Police Department's Records Section processes and responds to these requests on behalf of the Emergency Communications Center. If you need a report, records related to your 911 call, or an audio recording, please use their online public records request form. CPD Records also handles police body-worn camera (BWC) video, arrest reports, accident/crash reports, and more.

For records related to a 311Cincy Citizen Service Request (CSR):

The Citizen Service Request (CSR) system is used to create various requests for City government services. These requests can be created by calling 311 customer service representatives at ECC, or created directly by the requestor using the 311 website or mobile app.

You can search for a service request by SR number or location at www.311cincy.com.

For high-level data:

The Office of Performance and Data Analytics (OPDA) provides the Open Data Cincinnati portal, as well as the CincyInsights portal, the City of Cincinnati's official visual open data portal. OPDA collects citywide data to monitor performance, improve service delivery, promote transparency, drive innovation, and creatively problem solve. These portals include dashboards and databases of telephone, Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD), and Citizen Service Request (CSR) records.

Looking for other types of records?

It is recommended that you submit your request through GovQA, the City’s public records management system. This system allows departments to intake, track, coordinate, redact, and release public records requests through a single platform. The centralized platform allows for greater ease of communication and sharing of records between departments.
