Sidewalk Safety Program
Sidewalks are an important part of a balanced transportation system.
Safe and aesthetic sidewalks promote neighborhood interaction and enhance property values. They connect our homes, neighborhoods, parks, recreational facilities, schools, churches and businesses.
Property owners are responsible for maintaining adjacent sidewalks and driveway aprons. DOTE notifies property owners when repairs are warranted as part of its Sidewalk Safety Program.
