Update: 4th Street at Vine Closure

Jan 15, 2021

CINCINNATI – Fourth Street between Vine and Race streets in the Central Business District is expected to remain closed until the end of this month or early next, pending the installation of additional safety netting and other measures to catch debris in danger of falling off the façade of the former PNC Bank tower.

City Club Apartments, the owner of the building at 309 Vine St., has contracted with Structural Systems Repair Group (SSRG) to monitor the building and make the repairs.

SSRG installed some netting and covered scaffolding in December along the sidewalk facing Vine and Fourth streets after debris first fell off the façade.

City Club bought the building in 2019 and plans to begin renovating the interior and exterior of it this year. The renovation will include a long-term solution to repair the building’s façade.

Updates will be shared as information become available.
