Single WB Lane Closure on Columbia Parkway for Stormwater Repair

Nov 08, 2019

CINCINNATI – The westbound curb lane of Columbia Parkway between Tusculum and Beechmont avenues will be closed daily 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. beginning Monday, Nov. 11, for an estimated six to eight weeks. The single-lane closure is needed for crews reconstructing stormwater inlets to eliminate long-term flooding in this sharp elbow curve stretch of the parkway.

Crews will stage equipment in the curb lane to access the work site located on Cincinnati Parks property above a retaining wall.

The lane will be open to through traffic during morning and afternoon rush hours.

The City’s Department of Transportation & Engineering is coordinating schedules and lane closures for this stormwater utility repair with the hillside stabilization project farther west on the parkway.

The stabilization project requires the closure of two westbound lanes of Columbia Parkway between Delta Avenue and Torrence Parkway, also beginning Nov. 11, for an estimated two to three months.

Please see the map below, which shows the lane closures for both projects. Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes to help reduce delays.
