Lunken Airport Days 2023 This Weekend

Airport Days at Lunken Airport takes place 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 2 - 3! This annual event, hosted by Cincinnati War Birds, celebrates vintage aircraft and classic cars. It is free and open to the public with fees for select activities.
Here's what to expect:
- Historic aircraft on display on the main ramp behind the terminal
- Vintage and contemporary military vehicles on display
- Classic cars on display
- USS Cincinnati submarine display
- "Carry on USA" display - the honor log has the names of the fallen military, police and fire fighters from Ohio
- Patriot color guard ceremony and singing of the National Anthem each day at noon, led by ROTC on Saturday and Navy Sea Cadets on Sunday
- Helicopter rides with tickets available for purchase on site at the event ($50 per person at event)
- Ground tours available after planes land for the day ($10 person or $20 per family on sale at event)
- WW II reenactors and displays with military vehicles in grassy area
- Food trucks with shaded seating under tents
FEATURED ACTIVITY: Catch views or even a ride aboard "Doc," a rare World War II-era bomber. It is one of only two B 29 bombers in service in the United States. Doc is taking passengers on half-hour flights Friday, Sept. 1 through Monday, Sept. 4. View details and pricing.
