Findlay Market Opening Day Parade: Street Closures and Parking

Cincinnati - The annual Findlay Market Opening Day Parade takes place today, Tuesday, April 12, kicking off the home start to another exciting season of Cincinnati Reds baseball!
The parade begins at noon at the intersection of Race and Liberty streets in Over-the-Rhine and travels south on Race Street to Fifth Street, then east on Fifth Street to the demarcation area at Sentinel Street.
The Reds play the Cleveland Guardians. The game begins at 4:10 p.m. at Great American Ball Park at The Banks.
STREET CLOSURES
The following streets near Findlay Market close at 8:00 a.m. for parade staging:
- Race Street between Liberty Street and McMicken Street
- Elm Street between Liberty Street and McMicken Street
- Findlay Street between Central Parkway and Vine Street
- Elder Street between Central Parkway and Vine Street
- Green Street between Vine Street and Logan Street
- Henry Street between Race Street and Dunlap Street
- Dunlap Street between Findlay Street and McMicken Street
- Logan Street between Liberty Street and Findlay Street
In addition, the following streets and cross streets along the parade route will close at 11:15 a.m.:
- Liberty Street between Vine Street and Central Parkway
- Central Parkway between Vine Street and Elm Street
- Race Street between Liberty Street and Fourth Street
- Fifth Street between Elm Street and Sentinel Street
- Fifteenth Street between Republic Street and Elm Street
- Fourteenth Street between Elm Street and Republic Street
- Thirteenth Street between Race Street and Vine Street
- Twelfth Street between Elm Street and Vine Street
- Court Street between Elm Street and Vine Street
- Ninth Street between Elm Street and Vine Street
- Eighth Street between Elm Street and Vine Street
- Seventh Street between Elm Street and Vine Street
- Sixth Street between Elm Street and Vine Street
- Vine Street between Fourth Street and Sixth Street
- Walnut Street between Fourth Street and Sixth Street
- Main Street between Fourth Street and Sixth Street
- Sycamore Street between Fourth Street and Sixth Street
- Broadway Street between Fourth Street and Sixth Street
All parking within the closed areas will be restricted. Motorists are reminded to pay attention to any special parking restrictions and remove their vehicles to avoid being towed.
Streets will remain closed until Cincinnati Police determine it is safe to reopen, after the parade has passed.
ACCESS
Access to downtown hotels within the parade route closures will be maintained. For additional information motorists should seek the assistance of a Cincinnati Police Officer around the closure area.
Metro will maintain bus service but may alter downtown stops due to the parade.
The Cincinnati Bell Connector streetcar service will begin after the parade ends at approximately 4:00 p.m.
Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes around the downtown area due to the congestion caused by the parade and heavier-than-normal traffic.

HEADING INTO DOWNTOWN
Motorists are encouraged to use the following routes into downtown Cincinnati:
- From I-75 southbound – use the Freeman Avenue exit to Mehring Way to the Riverfront
- From I-75 northbound – use the Fifth Street exit in Cincinnati, then right onto Central Avenue to the Riverfront
- From I-71 southbound – use the Reading Road exit to Eggleston Avenue to the Riverfront
- From I-471/ Columbia Parkway – use the Third Street exit to the Riverfront
PARKING
Please see the following map for parking south of Sixth Street south to The Banks.
Parking is available in the many lots north of Third Street. Parking is also available along East Pete Rose Way, Eggleston Avenue and near Sawyer Point.
Additional parking lots are located north and west of Paul Brown Stadium.
Cash parking will be available in riverfront surface lots in the vicinity of Paul Brown Stadium and the Great American Ball Park on a limited first come, first served basis.
However, the Great American Ball Park Garage, the Central Riverfront Garage and the East Garage will be reserved for Reds season ticket parking pass holders on Opening Day. The East Garage and the Central Riverfront Garage will have limited cash parking on a game by game basis for the rest of the season.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
As an alternative to driving, fans are encouraged to use public transportation for quick and convenient access to the ballpark. For more information, visit the following websites or call:

- Metro Bus will be providing service with some altered routes due to the parade, or call (513) 621- 4455.
