Filming of 'Point Blank' Continues This Week

CINCINNATI – The filming of Netflix’s “Point Blank” continues into its third week with scenes scheduled in the Central Business District, Over-the-Rhine and the West End on Tuesday, through Friday, Aug. 24.

The scenes include a stunt-driving chase, high-speed exit from a parking garage and interior filming.

Motorists should expect parking restrictions, lane closures, full road closures and detours, slow traffic and loud noise at times in the areas where filming takes place, which are noted below.

Cincinnati Police will be on site at each location to help detour motorists and pedestrians.

Following are details about what to expect this week: Aug. 21 – Aug. 24:

  • Northern End of Over-the-Rhine: Intermittent closures on Central Parkway, Central Avenue, Patterson Street, Bank Street, Kindel Avenue, Beloit Alley and Clearwater Street 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21.
  • Central Business District: Intermittent closures and delays outside of the 84.51 garage onto Sixth Street from noon to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22.  Crews beginning setting up at 7:00 a.m. Tear down is scheduled to end by 8:00 p.m.
  • Central Business District/The Banks: Crews will be set up near The Banks beginning about 8:00 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 23. Ninth Street between Vine and Elm will be closed mid morning, then Race Street between Court and Garfield will be closed in the afternoon until approximately 8:00 p.m. Tear down is scheduled to end by 9:00 p.m.
  • West End: Interior filming at York and Freeman from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24. No traffic impact expected.

Crews will continue filming through next Friday, Aug. 31.

“Point Blank” is a remake of a 2010 French film directed and written by Fred Cavaye. The remake will tell the story of an emergency room nurse and criminal who are forced to work together to save the nurse’s pregnant wife after she is kidnapped.
