2024 Traffic Calming & Pedestrian Safety Accomplishments
Feb 05, 2025
This past year, we took more steps towards improving pedestrian safety and calming traffic across Cincinnati. From new speed cushions and curb extensions to raised crosswalks and stop bumps, these projects are geared towards slowing traffic and creating safer, more walkable streets for everyone.
In 2024, we installed 64 safety projects across 28 neighborhoods. These improvements are a direct response to community requests and support our commitment to safer streets.
Looking ahead, more traffic calming projects will be constructed this Summer/Fall, throughout the city. Additionally, submissions for the FY26 Traffic Calming Program are open now—neighborhoods can submit priority locations through their community council.
