Linn Street Safety Improvement Project

The purpose of this project is to improve safety on Linn Street for all users: pedestrians, bicyclists, Metro users, and motorists.

The Department of Transportation and Engineering (DOTE) is initiating this project because:

  • DOTE has received many complaints about speeding and motorists not yielding to pedestrians on Linn street.
  • Linn Street has been identified as a corridor with a high number of pedestrian crashes.
  • There are more travel lanes on Linn Street than are necessary to carry existing traffic.

We need your feedback!

At the public meeting on October 26, 2021, DOTE presented three design options to improve safety for pedestrians, bicyclists, and motorists on Linn Street.
