Jul 03, 2020
CINCINNATI -- In order to protect the public health and reverse the rising rates of COVID-19 in Cincinnati, City Council has voted to require masks be worn indoors in public settings including retail businesses, City facilities and on public transit.
The new law does not apply to those who cannot wear masks for health reasons, children 6 and under, those in private offices or eating/drinking at a bar/restaurant. While recommended, masks are not required when outdoors.
The State of Ohio has also issued a mask requirement from various counties across Ohio. It goes into effect Wednesday, July 8 at 6 p.m.
