Council Member Evan Nolan

Evan Nolan grew up on the West Side of Cincinnati in Cheviot, the son of parents dedicated to public service – his father, Greg, has worked as a career Public Defender, and his mother, Michele, for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. Evan is a proud graduate of St. Xavier High School and obtained his BA in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania as well as his Law Degree from Georgetown University.

Evan began his career as a public sector consultant for IBM, first with the US Air Force in the Pentagon and then with the US Postal Service.  Evan’s work focused on process-mapping, identifying efficiencies, and workforce development.  After returning to school, Evan served as a legal fellow in the office of U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown.

Evan currently works at Katz Teller Law Firm, where he practices transactional and real estate law, representing everyone from start-ups and privately held companies to family-owned businesses and their owners.  In 2022, Evan spent time in the City of Cincinnati’s Law Department working with the Mayor and Councilmembers as Chief Counsel for Special Projects and Policy Initiatives.

He served for eight years on the Oakley Community Council, all as chair of the Zoning and Economic Development Committee and five of those years as Vice President.  Evan and his family are active members of Knox Presbyterian Church, where he served three years on the Session of Elders and continues to serve as a liturgist.

Evan and his wife, Lisa, live in Oakley with their two young daughters.  Evan enjoys his time outside of work coaching his daughters’ volleyball and basketball teams.
