Oktoberfest Street Closures

CINCINNATI, OH – Oktoberfest Zinzinnati®, sponsored by Samuel Adams and produced by the Cincinnati Regional Chamber, gets bigger and better as it moves to 5th Street! From September 14-17, 2023, the nation’s largest Oktoberfest will convert downtown Cincinnati’s 5th Street into a vibrant Bavarian village serving up German cuisine, entertainment, and beer. To zelebrate the return to 5th Street, festivities will commence one day earlier, feature expanded entertainment and activities, and open one hour earlier on Sunday. In order to accommodate this event, the following streets will close on Tuesday, September 12 at 9:00 AM and remain closed until Monday, September 18 at 5:00 AM:
- Fifth Street- closed between Walnut Street and Columbia Parkway
- Columbia Parkway- closed between Downtown and the Sixth Street ramp
- Sycamore Street- closed between Sixth Street and Fourth Street (access maintained to garages)
- Broadway- closed between Fourth Street and Sixth Street
- Broadway- converted to a temporary 2-way traffic pattern between Seventh Street and Sixth Street
- Sentinel Street- closed
- Lawrence Street- closed
- Main Street- closed between Fourth Street and Sixth Street to vehicular traffic during event hours
A marked detour will be in place directing motorists to northbound I-71 and I-471. Drivers are reminded to use caution around the event site and to use alternate routes if possible.
