CINCINNATI, OH – When local boxing great and west-end resident Ezzard Charles, the “Cobra”, prepared for boxing matches, he’d run on the streets and in the Parks of Cincinnati.  Follow in Ezz’s footsteps on Saturday, October 1 at 7:30 am at the CINCINNATI COBRA RACE on the Crosstown Climb.  In order to accommodate this event, the following streets will close on Saturday, October 1 at 700AM and remain closed until approximately 1100AM:

 

Walnut Street- closed between Liberty Street and 13^th Street

14^th Street- closed between Vine Street and Sycamore Street

Main Street- closed between 13^th Street and Orchard Street

Sycamore Street- closed between Liberty Street and Central Parkway

Central Parkway- eastbound closed between Sycamore Street and Pendleton Street

Eggleston Avenue- closed between Central Parkway and Reedy Street

Broadway- closed between Ninth Street and Eggleston Avenue

Court Street- closed between Eggleston Avenue and Gilbert Avenue

Reedy Street- closed between Eggleston Avenue and Court Street

Van Meter Street- closed between Monastery Street and Elsinore Avenue

Wareham Drive closed to through traffic between Hatch Street and Van Meter Street

Elsinore Avenue- closed to through traffic between Wareham drive and Gilbert Avenue

Gilbert Avenue- northbound closed between Elsinore Avenue and Eden Park Drive

           

Motorists are reminded to use caution around the event site and to use alternate routes is possible.
