All-Day Closures Planned for Annual Hyde Park Blast

CINCINNATI – The annual Hyde Park Blast food race and community event will take place Saturday.  Due to the many activities related to the event and the expected size of the crowd, many of the streets surrounding Hyde Park Square will close for the majority of the day.

Beginning at 5:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 24, the following roads will close to all through traffic until approximately midnight:

• Erie Avenue - closed between Mooney Avenue and Paxton Avenue
• Edwards Road - closed between Observatory Avenue and Wasson Road

This closure will expand for different activities throughout the day.  All local traffic will be maintained with the assistance of the Cincinnati Police on site for the event.

Motorists not destined for the area are urged to use alternate routes.

Metro bus service will be detoured around the area. Riders should use the nearest stop outside the closure area. Minor delays are expected.
