This technology helps reduce response times and provides first responders with vital information that can help improve incident outcomes.

Any of Cincinnati’s 300,000-plus residents can easily create their Safety Profile for the national safety database at www.Smart911.com. Hamilton County has also deployed the technology as have more than 1,500 municipalities across the country.

Please note that if you created a Smart911 for Hamilton County or another jurisdiction you do not need to create a separate account for the City of Cincinnati. Your existing account will now automatically register if you are inside Cincinnati city limits. However, please make sure your account is updated with the most recent information.

About Smart911

Through Smart911, residents can create a secure “Safety Profile” that will automatically display to emergency call takers immediately upon placing a 9-1-1 call. When a call comes in, a call taker will see a user’s Safety Profile as well as a Facility Profile about their current location.

Users can customize their profile and share any information they would like first responders to have in the event of an emergency – things ranging from information medical conditions to blood type to primary language.

Now, fire crews can arrive at the scene of fire knowing how many people live in a residence and the location of bedrooms. EMS teams can have detailed information about a person’s allergies or prescriptions they’re taking. Police can have immediate access to a photo of a missing person in seconds rather than minutes or hours.

Additionally, through the technology a 9-1-1 call taker can even send an outbound SMS/text message to mobile phone callers who are unable to communicate verbally.

As mentioned previously, a user’s Safety Profile will display anywhere in the country that utilizes the Smart 911 technology. Hamilton County deployed Smart 911 in April, joining more than 1,500 municipalities in 40 states from across the country who have signed on to use the technology.

Please make sure your profile information is as up-to-date as possible.

All information outlined in a Safety Profile is private and secure, and it is seen only when a participating user dials 9-1-1.
