CRC Offers Free Swim Lessons
Jun 08, 2021
In partnership with Children’s Hospital, Jack & Jill of America and the American Red Cross
(Cincinnati) Beginning on Tuesday, June 8th, the Cincinnati Recreation Commission (CRC) will begin registration for free swim lessons at all 13 pool locations in a partnership with Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, Jack & Jill of America and the American Red Cross. The first session begins June 12th. The SWIM program is an American Red Cross instruction designed to help swimmers begin, develop, and refine their swimming skills.
“Swimming is a life skill, much like riding a bicycle, fishing or building an appreciation for the outdoors. Yet, unlike recreational hobbies, being a strong swimmer is also a life-saving skill that all children should have access to develop,” said Daniel Betts, Director of Recreation.
To register for swim lessons, please visit your desired location at one of the 13 pools that are open this summer. More information can be found at https://www.cincinnati-oh.gov/recreation/programs/aquatics-home/play-in-the-water/swim-lessons-i-can-swim-program/.
