Fall is in the air…!  Join us each and every Saturday at the Trailside Nature Center for a variety of nature themed programming.  All free – and FUN!

October 5th – Meet the Nature Center Animals
Visit Trailside Nature Center and meet our resident “Nature Ambassadors”, Toad and Turtle!  We’ll learn about their habitats, behaviors – and watch them enjoy a snack.

October 12th – Fall Fest (1:00 – 5:00 PM)
Join us for a Burnet Woods – 150th Anniversary event.  Burnet Woods Park Advisory Council invites you to an afternoon pumpkin carving and decorating event - including live music, historical reenactors, nature education and exhibits, face painting, magic, and a food truck. It’s a family-friendly, and all-inclusive event, as we celebrate fall and all it has to offer.

October 19th – Fall Foliage Walk
Join a park naturalist for a guided interpretive hike through beautiful Burnet Woods.  Along the way well discover the secrets behind the annual fall color change, how to identify trees by their fall color and how the local wildlife is preparing for the coming winter.  

October 26th – Getting Crafty - Pine Cone Bird Feeders
Fall kicks off the winter bird feeding season!  Feeding the birds is a great way to bring wildlife to your yard and introduce the natural world to children.  Join us at the Trailside Nature Center as we get crafty with pinecone bird feeders.
