Ways you can celebrate Arbor Day with Cincinnati Parks

  • Mar 29, 2024

In the last 7 years, Cincinnati Parks has worked with many community volunteers, organizations and our partners at the Cincinnati Parks Foundation to support efforts that have proudly increased tree canopy coverage in the City of Cincinnati from 38% to 43%. Any chance we get to honor trees, we do! Arbor Day is officially celebrated on April 26 this year, and you can bet that Cincinnati Parks is observing this day in many ways. Arbor Day is an important day to raise awareness about the importance of trees and to plant them! Truthfully speaking, Cincinnati Parks celebrates trees all year long. In addition to the volunteer tree planting events we coordinate throughout the year, we also give away free trees every fall through our ReLeaf program thanks to our sponsors at Mad Tree Brewing, Dynegy and the Cincinnati Parks Foundation.
