Burnet Woods Sink Holes to be Repaired this Month

On Tuesday, May 9, work will begin to repair sink holes in three locations at Burnet Woods. The locations include near the apartments on Jefferson, a utility access hole adjacent to Brookline/Burnet intersection, and near the Barred Owl Trail.
The contractor completing the work will excavate the holes and fill them with compacted material. The park will remain open while work is completed. These repairs are part of a larger effort to address major stormwater flooding issues that have plagued significant areas of the park for decades and will help ensure the park is maintained as a community resource into the future.
