Operating since 1981 with funding provided by an annual assessment based upon footage along the right-of-way. Our team is responsible for the maintenance of all City street trees, or any trees in a right-of-way.
Developed in 1997 to expand the scope of the Urban Forestry Division, from streets to management of park forests. Our focus is the safety of park users through hazard tree management and overseeing parkwide conservation, trail management, and enhancement of natural resources within the parks system.
Our team of expert horticulturalists work in the right of way in neighborhood business districts, downtown Cincinnati, community gateways, traffic islands, highway entrances, and other public areas identified as significant to bringing our community to life through various types of horticultural installations and flower pot programs.
